Warrior Hens’ Farm (WHF) is a family farm that we like to say is owned and operated by the Warrior Hens themselves. Simply put, this statement highlights the essential symbiotic relationship between humans and animals and where we all fit in nature. The hens dictate production of the product, eggs, so they’re in the driver’s seat, and we as humans just work here diligently ensuring their needs are met.
WHF is located in Laytonsville, Maryland and overseen by Carlos and Raimee Williams. Both Carlos and Raimee come from multiple generations of family farms and horticulturists, so being surrounded by animals and plants is second-nature. Our flocks are also looked after by two exceptional bird dogs named Winston (standard Poodle) and Rico (Vizsla), who have learned that chickens are not to be pointed or retrieved, but to be protected. Rounding out the farm (so far) are Coturnix and Bobwhite quail, a selection of fish (koi and tropical), and a red-eared slider turtle (Fred).
At WHF, we specialize in beautiful, happy heritage and unique birds with amazing temperaments that produce an assortment of nutritious and fun-colored eggs.
By now I hope you recognize we are a no-kill farm. Check out our Fallen Heroes page to see some of those we’ve lost (including Sofie and Kat, founding feline members of WHF). Even our boys play a role at WHF, but to be clear, Big Chic, Peep, Partrige, and the rest of the Warriors clearly run the show.
Here at WHF we are dedicated to conservation. Over the years, many game bird species, such as Northern Bobwhite quail and pheasants, have all but disappeared from certain parts of the American landscape where they once roamed free. We specialize in hatching and releasing native game birds such as Northern Bobwhite quail for a repopulation program.
We like to consider ourselves innovators as well. We are always looking for a better way to hatch or ship an egg or protect the flock or educate people on the benefits of naturally-raised animals and the invaluable relationship between humans and birds.

If you are a human egg or butt Nugget worker yourself we encourage you to join the International Butt Nugget Manufacturing Works Union Local #🥚🥚 (IBNMWU) and learn everything about our Warriors and follow the story of the mystic legend of the Warrior Hens.
WHF is member of a greater movement called the Family Farm and Community Collective (FFCC). FFCC is dedicated to fostering community in all we do as community is the sustainer of a health life. We focus on the common values of family, farming and community to prepare the next generation to care for our would and respect each other.
